Board Member

Purpose of Organization:

-    To teach and/or reinforce experience that will turn a diversified group of people into a directed, effective group.

Minimum Qualifications

- Commitment to the block club and its purpose

- Support of the block club publicly

- Acceptance of financial obligation as expected by the block club

- Attendance at orientation and training

- Time available for meetings and preparation for meetings

- Willing to listen to all sides with an open mind before making decisions

- Good will

- Tolerance for dissent

- Ability to abide by the will of the majority, respect the rights of the minority, and be positive in support of decisions made by t he board

Time Required: Ten (10) monthly meetings from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Length of Commitment: 2 years
